The BankAtlantic Center was constructed in just a 26-month timeframe, with the contract stating that it needed to be ready for the 1998 Florida Panthers Hockey season. Construction took over 2.3 million hours and the workers are proud to say that it was all done without a single injury. The facility seats over 19,000 fans in cushioned theatre-style seats. There are also 70 suites available and at 650 square feet, they are some of the largest in the country. There are over 7,000 parking spaces available, as well as an area for bus and group parking.
When the Panthers aren't taking the ice, the BankAtlantic Center hosts a variety of events and family entertainment.
